Summary

More
Why did the duck cross the road? To get to the other side, of course.

That's exactly what the mother ducks in Green Lawn have been doing—waddling across a busy road to build their nests in the woods, then waddling back once their ducklings are hatched and ready for their first swim.

Not good for the ducks and not good for the drivers.

The solution? A duck bridge. Everyone in town has been putting money into a duck bank in the firehouse to raise the funds, including Dink, Josh, and Ruth Rose, who donated 30 dollars of their own money.

Then one night a fire breaks out in the meadow. While the firefighters are putting it out, someone sneaks into the firehouse and steals the duck bank!

Who would do such a lowdown, no-good thing like that?

Dink and his pals are determined to find out—and quicksand may get them to the bottom of things faster than they expected—in this exciting mystery.
